HP Notebook PCs - Fan is Noisy and Spins Constantly (Windows)
Go to Solution. Unfortunatly yes. I would love if it had a few more grams of thermal mass, but I cant find a replacement cooler. I have some liquid metal coming in the mail that im going to try to replace the tim with since at least its easy to take off the cooler on this laptop. I would not recomend the liquid metal route to someone who has not aplied tim before, you should normally go for a high end tim like Kryonaut, IC Diamond, mx-2 or noctua NT-H1.
I had the same issue and the same laptop too, after about two months and lots of attempts, such as entering the BIOS, contolling task manager etc Apply all updates found using the HP Assistance tool and bingo! The noise was really bad out of the box. The update resets and updates BIOS. IT Really worked perfectly. I am curious - what is HP Coolsense?
Is it an app? What kind of download is it? Is it free? I have suffered from this issue for several days. Just follow the installation instructions and you can choose the envyx config file which works like a charm.
I bought the extended warranty. They want me to send mine in to replace the fan. I had loud fan noise out of the box. Almost 1 year after purchase the fan starting a very loud winding noise. When I contacted support they updated my bios etc. They want me to send it in. What a pain. I have to wipe my computer clean and be without for several weeks. Hi guys, I own an hp envy x laptop with intel hd graphics Over the last week, my laptop fan gets very loud like its processing something difficult and constantly spins while in game.
I have tried everything to fix it: power settings for the laptop in general, in game graphics settings, laptop display settings, etc. Should I set fan cooling in the system to "passive" in advanced power settings!
Should I go into Bios and disable "fan always on"? What should I do? Showing 1 - 14 of 14 comments. Move fans have a grill to one side usually left where the air runs over it to cool your system down.
DO NOT clean the fan while it is in the system. This can cause all sorts of dust to spew over your circuit board and kill it. I did this once. You can find all sorts of paste at a good computer store. When you remove the fan, have some clean cloths available.Donna e maternità
When you put the fan back on it will spread the drop. Also, look for a program called SpeedFan. You can control the speed of your fans with it. Last edited by rotNdude ; 26 Jun, am. Sapph View Profile View Posts.15 Windows Settings You Should Change Now!
